Greenhouse gases are necessary for life on Earth, and there are many natural sources of greenhouse gases. However, human activities have increased the concentrations of several greenhouse gases. This increase has and will continue to have an effect on Earth's climate because of the integral role greenhouse gases play in determining atmospheric temperature.
